Description (Ages 4-7)
This group is designed primarily for 4-7 year olds who have no prior water skills. This level introduces Swimmers to water skills. The purpose of this level is to begin developing positive attitudes, good swimming habits and safe practices in and around the water for swimmers. Swimmers will learn to;
- Blow bubbles through mouth and nose
- Open eyes under water and retrieve submerged objects
- Front and back glides and floats
- Recover to vertical position
- Roll from front to back and back to front
- Tread water using arm and hand actions
- Combined arm and leg actions on front and back for Freestyle and Backstroke among others.

Graduation Guidelines to Bronze
- Minimum Age of 6
- Ability to swim 25m front crawl and backstroke
- Good listening skills
- Successful 2 week trial period with new group
